does selfless love really exist.

i thought it does, and that 2 people can make that effort and commitment to stay together regardless of anything, that's love isnt it.

There's alot of effort and sacrifices in staying committed.
time and energy needs to be invested in a relationship, time which can be spent doing other individual pursuits.

however, love makes it all possible. isnt it?

i know i shouldnt be so judgemental, but somehow i feel that dumping a faithful long-term partner in return for pursuit of "freedom", wider social circle, etc
has a strangely hollow tone to it.

it reminded me of dy/dz's last words to me afew years back.

im very thankful for what i have now.
the time, energy and effort to maintain a relationship is worth it.
