the tranquility of night. the darkness, that envelops the world.
isnt it peaceful? studying at night can be rather productive with no one to disturb you. on the other hand, the loneliness sits in a corner, threatening to engulf any unsuspecting poor soul. the blessedness of peace comes with a price.
then again, nothing is free in this world.
was hoping that someone will be there to accompany me throughout the night, or at least let me know that they're mugging too, or juz seeing ppl online.
then again, its time i learn not to be distracted.
---------
to focus, to push, to work. the pressure to perform.
elitism does has its place in society. after all, if there isnt, why will people work so hard? if only to achieve something. not that im saying its good or bad. just an inevitable product of meritocracy. people all want the glory, the prestige, of being an elite. that's why its time to differentiate those who actually work for it. the catch: people dont start from an equal ground. so the basis for comparison is slanted in a certain sense.
and so we are all made to be ranked under the bell curve. isnt that what numerous exams are for?
---------
when we're young, there always seem to be a "best friend" and/or a group of friends you play with during recess and after school. As time progresses, "best friends" and "friends forever" became degenerate. just what do these mean, when trust is becoming such a rare commodity. where it is placed in a fragile container, so raw and real, finding a place for its safekeeping. where is safe. its hard to tell.
and with each crack, the container hardens, until trust is hidden deep inside.
by logical deduction, since trust is a basis for human relationships, then does that mean that the older we are, the more lonely we are.
( hopefully not )
--------
just some thoughts on a quiet night(morning) few hours before alevel maths p2. no point studying, since i got no mood to do so.
---------
stars are beautiful--when the whole world seems to be ignoring you, they'll twinkle and blink at you innocently without fail.
(i cant see any stars in the sky now)
